The final approvals needed have been made to our contract, which went into effect June 8. The guild is printing copies and will be distributing them to you soon. In the meantime here is a link to a copy of the final product. We hope you read it through, as it is the basis for our working conditions and rights. 5/9: Election Issues and Date to be Set; Anti-Union Consultant Hired by Management

In the wake of our filing of a petition and signature cards calling for Guild representation, the National Labor Relations Board’s Oakland staff has scheduled a hearing for next week at which some of us and some company representatives will testify about the parameters of the bargaining unit – who’s in, who’s not. And once that’s hashed out, we expect that an election date will be set. (more…)
